Contract 1 [Action/Accidental Video]
[It’s after sundown when something falls into the fountain. A thin man in a cloak pulls himself up and onto dry land, covering his face with the hood of his cloak. He looks around at his surroundings, taking it all in. It’s as though he’s never seen such a place before.]
Most fascinating…
[He notices the device near him and picks it up, staring at the screen and lights curiously. This allows anyone watching to get a look at him. Despite his face being partly covered in shadow, one may be able to see that his face is very gaunt and his eyes are pale red.]
What a curious object this is.
[He taps the glass screen as if expecting something to come out of it, and then presses a button experimentally. The screen goes blank, even though the fountain can still be heard in the background. The sound eventually stops and some nonsense text appears briefly. The feed type cycles a few more times before it gets switched back to video.]
Perhaps Lucien or M’raaj-Dar will be able to decipher this item’s mysteries. [Glances around.] That is, if I can figure out where I am and how I may go about returning home.
[/Video feed ends]

voice;
And after a pause.] You're in the City.
voice; [1/2]
voice; [2/2]
City of what?
voice;
Just the City. There's a barrier around it keeping us in and beasts out and sometimes, people arrive or leave for no discernable reason.
voice;
How original. [Drips sarcasm.] A barrier you say? Interesting. What provenence is this? Where is your Emperor?
voice;
No provenence and no Emperor. [WELL. He is technically an Emperor, but not of this place.] There's deities, though, and people from many different worlds.
voice;
None? Another realm, then? [Like Oblivion, with less fire and daedra hopefully.] Deities, you say. Well, they shall have to do.
voice;
They'll have to do for what?
voice;
For getting me home. What offerings to they require?
action;
I'm real. And it might be a form of sorcery, but it's called technology.
[There's a bit of a pause.] The deities accept trades, but I don't think they're willing to send you home.
action;
So you are. Technology in my realm is the blacksmith's tools, the crossbow, and such. We have nothing like this there. [Indicates his own device.] We certainly have no magic so that common mortals may communicate long distance.
Stubborn, are they?
action;
Technology here is something else. Nothing like it exists in my world, but we have ways to communicate regardless.
That would be one way to describe them, certainly.
action;
It seems no matter the realm, that is a common aspect of gods. [Luckily his own god is easy to please.]
Is there at least a Mages' Guild here or an equivilant?
action;
There's no cast of sorcerers.
action;
Can you at least tell me where I may find the shrines to these deities?
