Contract 27 [Video/Action] - forward dated to after sundown

[Vicente is casually walking thought the city with a pumpkin tucked under his arm. He's also dressed as the Phantom of the Opera, only he's wearing a full-face mask with only his mouth and eyes exposed, much like in the original book.]

It is quite a sight, seeing everyone dress in costumes and go about asking for candy. We have no such day in my world.

[He stops as he finds a low stone fence to put his pumpkin on and turns it so the carving is showing. After he lights the candle inside it, one can see that Vicente has carved a minotaur's head onto the pumpkin.]

I cannot say that I have ever used a pumpkin for this purpose. Nonetheless, I do enjoy taking up new things.

Ah, that is quite impressive. It's the same in my world that we have no such day.

late reply! So sorry!

Quite interesting, is it not? This holiday?
closetpervert: (Sorry)

Np! I was late too so!

Indeed. A day for the dead. I must admit, it is a bit grim but one that's festive enough for everyone to enjoy.

Indeed. I do not care for sweets, but I admit, there is something of a facination with the decorations and general morbidness.

Certainly one enjoyed by the young for that reason. [He lightly laughed.]

Which I wondered, what is it you are dressed as?

[identity profile] servessithis.livejournal.com 2011-11-10 08:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course.

I am dressed as the Phantom of the Opera. Quite an enjoyable book.

Ah, a novel? Frankly, my many trips to the library has rarely involved picking up leisurely books. What is it about?

[identity profile] servessithis.livejournal.com 2011-11-11 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
It is the tale of a hideous and mentally unstable man who haunts a local opera house and falls in love with a beautiful opera singer.

It was made into a musical play many years later, which I have read the script to. That version greatly romanticized the story.

I see... [Sounded like one of the stories Mirald would enjoy;;]

Do you read often?

[identity profile] servessithis.livejournal.com 2011-11-12 09:22 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, it is quite the macabre little tale.

I have much free time on my hands during the day, so yes.
